Staying in Blanes

Blanes is a coastal city in northeastern Catalunya.

It is considered the gateway to Costa Brava, the coastal region that runs north to the French border and spans more than 200 kilometers.

An active fishing port, Blanes is also a popular summer destination for local and international visitors.

Weather

May in Blanes can be generally quite pleasant. It is warmer than early spring and avoids the heat of the heart of summer.

Feel free to bring swimsuits for the beach during the day.

Make sure to bring a jacket or a sweater as it can get cooler in the evenings.

Camí de Ronda

cala-sant-francesc5.png

If you have time, we would recommend at least a short walk of the Camí de Ronda, the coastal trail along Costa Brava that starts in Blanes.

The hills are not as steep as the walk to the castle, and will still reward you with magnificent views!
